5/1/97, at 3:40 a.m.: Plaintiff, an 18-years-old student, was in a disabled vehicle on the westbound Pomona Freeway. Plaintiff claimed that his auto was within the disabled vehicle lane just cast of the San Gabriel Boulevard off ramp when his auto was rear-ended by Defendants truck, which caused his vehicle to be thrown from the freeway. Plaintiff did not have his seat belt on at the time of the accident, and was propelled through his windshield.

INJURIES: Plaintiffs doctors testified that he suffered a traumatic brain injury, fractured spinous processes at C-6-7, a compression fracture at T-8, and a fractured left thumb, requiring surgery.

Residuals: Loss of executive brain function

PER PLTF: Claimed all his injuries were caused by this accident. Defendants disputed the nature and extent of Plaintiffs injuries.
